I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I made the decision to do EMDR therapy. I was nervous but I knew it was a service that needed to be done to change my life. I’ve experienced many traumas, some so suppressed I didn’t even know I was dealing with the effects of it. Fonda so patiently walked me through the EMDR process. She met me where I was and made me feel safe and in control of my own healing process. She didn’t judge my past or make me feel like something was wrong with me. She allowed me to share what I wanted and keep private what I wanted. She didn’t pry for the sake of getting to know more about my personal life experiences. I’m Christian and hold spiritual values. Fonda beautifully used my own values and beliefs to help me process what I experienced through EMDR. That means the world to me.
I’ve been to several therapists but none of them would address my spiritual beliefs or use them as the context for my life. It’s my foundation so I’m very appreciative that she wasn’t afraid to go there with me. Through EMDR I can HONESTLY say I have healed from past hurt, gained understanding of how the trauma has affected me and learned how to even change the narrative. I experienced the power and impact of forgiveness; forgiveness for myself and others. Fonda, I am forever grateful for your services. I am living my life in full bloom, in perfect harmony. I am whole. I am healed. I am free!
